Hybe has achieved a historic milestone, reporting its highest-ever quarterly revenue of 1.45 trillion won (approximately $1.1 billion) and operating profit of 170.9 billion won for the second quarter of 2026. This marks the first time the company's quarterly revenue has exceeded 1 trillion won, and operating profit has surpassed 100 billion won. The semi-annual revenue also crossed 2 trillion won for the first time, reflecting the explosive growth of Hybe's multi-label system and the global dominance of its artists.

The record results were driven by a surge in direct participation revenue, particularly from concerts and album sales. Concert revenue alone reached 647.7 billion won, while album sales contributed 326.8 billion won. Indirect participation revenue from MD and licensing also hit 310.6 billion won, a record high, thanks to the synergistic effect of tour-related merchandise. The company achieved a double-digit operating profit margin of 11.8%, demonstrating both scale and profitability.

BTS's return to the stage played a pivotal role. The group embarked on a world tour in April 2026, following the release of their comeback album 'ARIRANG.' According to global music data firm Luminate, 'ARIRANG' topped vinyl and CD album sales in the United States, revitalizing the physical album market. The album also contributed to South Korea becoming the world's third-largest music exporter, after the US and UK. BTS's world tour generated massive economic impacts in host cities, coining the term 'BTS-nomics.' On July 20, the group performed at the FIFA World Cup final halftime show for the first time in history, cementing their status as global icons.

Beyond BTS, Hybe's other artists also delivered outstanding performances. In the first half of 2026, all artists under Hybe Music Group released new albums and actively promoted in global markets. Among the top 10 best-selling CD albums in the US during the first half, five were from Hybe artists, showcasing the strength of the multi-label strategy. Domestically, seven Hybe artists achieved million-seller status on the Circle Chart, including BTS, TXT, ENHYPEN, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, and Cortis.

New groups like KATSEYE and Cortis have defied conventional growth patterns. KATSEYE won three awards at the 2026 American Music Awards, establishing themselves as a new icon in the global pop market. Cortis, a rookie group, has sold over 5.25 million cumulative album copies from their first two mini-albums, 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' and 'GREENGREEN,' largely driven by the innovative 'merch-album' format that bundles merchandise with physical albums. Their sales are expected to continue through the end of the year.

Collaborative projects have also strengthened fan engagement. The digital single 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE,' featuring LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE, has maintained a long-running streak on Billboard and Spotify charts, cross-pollinating fanbases and attracting new listeners. This crossover phenomenon has expanded the market for each group while creating a new wave of fans.

Live performances have been abundant. In the first half of 2026, 12 Hybe artist teams held a total of 119 concerts, and the second half is expected to see over 200 shows, far exceeding last year's total of 279 concerts by 10 teams. ENHYPEN, who began their world tour in May, made history by entering the South American market with sold-out stadium shows. LE SSERAFIM kicked off a world tour covering Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia following the release of their second studio album. BOYNEXTDOOR launched their first world tour in July, while KATSEYE's upcoming world tour in September is already sold out, prompting additional dates. Cortis, in their debut year, started a world tour—a rare feat for a rookie group.

The increase in tours has boosted MD sales and licensing revenue, including projects like 'The City' initiative. Artist activities have also driven growth on Hybe's fan community platform, Weverse. Monthly Active Users (MAU) reached a record 14.43 million, up from the previous quarter. Total payment volume and Average Revenue Per Paying User (ARPPU) grew by 12% and 24% respectively, creating a virtuous cycle: artist activities drive Weverse visits, longer dwell times, and increased membership subscriptions and paid content purchases.

Hybe CEO Lee Jae-sang commented, 'In the second quarter of 2026, Hybe redefined the global entertainment market and proved through our performance that we are a key export infrastructure for Korea's cultural industry. These results are the outcome of continuous efforts for business innovation, and we will continue to pursue expansion and growth strategies.'

The company's success highlights the synergy of its diverse artist roster, from veteran superstars like BTS to emerging acts like KATSEYE and Cortis. With a robust pipeline of tours, album releases, and digital content, Hybe is poised to maintain its momentum in the second half of the year and beyond.
